Pfizer is one of the local companies that offers a matching gift program. Charter Oak offers a matching gift campaign annually that you can donate to C.H.A.I.N.

Donate to One of Our Projects

1. The Oliver Project

A fundraising effort by Ledyard C.H.A.I.N. to raise funds for the Ledyard Animal Control to go towards the spay and neuter of feral cats within our community. All monies donated to this project will be used solely to cover the costs to spay/neuter, to buy humane traps, and to get needed materials for build shelters and feeding stations to protect the cats from inclement weather. It won’t happen overnight and It will be expensive. But the positive effect it will have on our community will be priceless.

2. Fixed 4 Life Fund

Contributions to this fund are used spay and neuter

pets at the Ledyard Animal Control to help them be more appealing to prospective adopters so they can find their forever home quickly and to also prevent the chance of unwanted litters.

3. Emergency Medical Fund

Sometimes pets arrive at the shelter sick or injured. To help these pets get well, so they can find their forever homes faster, we will help with medical costs that might be more than the shelter can bear.

If you own an Android or iPhone you can download the app that will let you donate to the Ledyard Animal Control every time you take a dog for a walk! Super easy and nothing out of pocket for you. Just click on the picture.

2. Resqwalk
Take a walk and help Ledyard C.H.A.I.N. ResQwalk is a free mobile app that lets you raise money and resources for your favorite animal welfare organization, and all you have to do is walk! Simply click on the photo below that with take to to the webpage with more info. Download it today and start walking for the animals.

3. Join iGive

When you shop from their participating online stores iGive donates a percentage to Ledyard C.H.A.I.N. at no added cost to you! Or sign up for the iGive Search Bar. Ledyard C.H.A.I.N. will get a donation everytime you do a search using the search bar on the iGive page. You can search for items to shop or click on the Web tab and search just like you would on Google. Click on either logo to sign up.

4. Fresh Step Cat Litter Paw Points

Do you or someone you know use Fresh Step Cat Litter? If so, save your paw points! You can enter them yourself by going to the Paw Points Reward page or you can send them to me and I will enter them. You can also drop them off in any of our donation boxes and I will get them that way too.

2. Tru-Catch

Donate a Tru-Catch Humane trap! They will be used to trap stray and feral cats so they can be neutered and also can assist us to trap a lost pet so we can help it get back home to its owner. Traps are expensive and we realize this. But, if a group or business would like go in together to purchase one we would be ever so grateful Click on photo.

OTHER IDEAS ON HOW TO DONATE

1. Having a birthday, anniversary or shower? Ask for gifts for pets instead of yourself!

2. Are you a business? Offer to hold a pet food collection drive for us! Donate merchandise or a service that we can raffle at our next event! If you have the space, put a permanent collection box in your lobby for others to drop off goods.

3. Are you an animal lover and want to be able to help Ledyard C.H.A.I.N. continue their mission? Consider leaving a legacy gift. A legacy gift means you would be making C.H.A.I.N. one of the beneficiaries of your estate, bank account, life insurance, or properties in your will.

4. Has a loved one passed and you are planning their final arrangements. If they were an animal lover or a supporter of C.H.A.I.N. you can ask for donations be made to us in lieu of flowers.
